"We stopped in for supper after a long day on the bikes. They had a live musician on stage singing who was pretty good. It was a little loud but to be expected in a small bar/restaurant. I had the bone in wings with Buffalo sauce and these are probably the best wings I have ever had! They were crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. They were pretty meaty too. We also had the beer battered fish with sweet potato fries and they said it was the best fish they could ever remember having. The fries were also crispy on the outside and hot and moist inside, not dried out like a lot of times at other restaurants. We will absolutely come back here. They do have an outdoor patio but we didn't get out there due to the rain. The staff were all very friendly and the food was served in just a few minutes after we ordered. My compliments to the chef! He knocked it out of the park today."

"This was our first time visiting. My husband enjoyed his boneless wings. My daughter loved her chicken sandwich and my son liked the macaroni and cheese and fries. My bacon ranch grilled chicken was not great really basic and I upgraded to mashed potatoes instead of seasonal vegetables and they charged me three dollars for the mashed potatoes, which are literally from a box and exactly what I had in elementary school cafeteria lunch. They were not good! There is a nice patio along with live music and the service was very friendly. I guess I just wish the menu was a little bit better and a little bit bigger. Thanks!"

"Stopped in while driving through town. Was greeted right away. Service was friendly. Our dinner came out pretty quick. The waiter said they try to use local as much as possible and I could tell that my salad was fresh produce. We would definitely recommend this place and eat here again."

"Really cute small bar and grill located right across from Reptile Gardens. Staff is super attentive and friendly. Some menu options: breaded mushrooms, wings, salads, shrimp/walleye baskets, patty melt (which I had and was amazing), sandwiches, steak/salmon dinners, and more. Great selection of food and cocktails. Chill music from 80's to today. Food ranges from $7-26. Food came out within 10 minutes of ordering."

"Many things gluten free. Food not tasty though. Server was okay but seemed a bit unhelpful in the gluten free department. Said if I wanted the tater tots that they have a gluten free fryer and it would be 25 minutes to warm up to make them. We did not want to wait 30 minutes for our food. So much for the gluten free dedicated fryer....total waste. Atmosphere was ok .. not a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Served the wedge salad with a diluted balsamic vinegar dressing. Not blue cheese. It had some blue cheese crumbles which did not go with the balsamic dressing. Later someone asked for blue cheese dressing on their salad...Wish I had known...I should have asked. Because I didn't want to wait 25 minutes for them to heat up the dedicated fryer I got the cottage cheese...which was bland and not at all tasty. The chicken sandwich on a gf bun was a skinny piece of flattened meat, so dry. No breading because it was gf. And the server also said no cheese...because there is gluten in cheese??? NO .. no gluten in most cheese! Just because you can't have gluten doesn't mean you have to be dairy free as well. Especially since I was having cottage cheese. The server should ask, not assume. No sauce of any kind. So dry...but all the moisture was in the bottom of the gf bun, causing it to be gooey and just fall apart turning it into mush. Did not prepare the gf bun well. Will not go again. But in a pinch you can get something there."

"My brother and I had just come out of a couple nights in the backcountry of Black Hills National Forest, starving for some great food, and Shipwrecks Bar and Grill did not disappoint! Located conveniently near the forest and Mount Rushmore, this place is a hidden gem. Don't let the modest exterior fool you--the black and blue burger with sweet potato fries was absolutely fantastic. The facilities, including the bathrooms, were spotless, and the staff was super friendly. We lucked out with perfect weather and enjoyed our meal on the patio. Highly recommended if you're in the area!"

"This place is a hidden gem with very fun staff. The onion rings are a must have! Chicken sandwich was great and fries were pretty good also. Unfortunately the burgers are cooked until they are like beef jerkey. There was live music on the back porch and great drinks to kick back to. We definitely be back when we are in the area."
